Hi Friends!One of our favorite things to do is Speech & Debate! We are looking for judges and we have several tournaments coming up this year! If you are available, our first tournament is Saturday, November 11th, at Metrolina Christian Academy, 732 Indian Trail Fairview Rd, Indian Trail, NC 28079. We would love for you to come out and hear a few great speeches and be a judge! You do not have to commit an entire day to the tournament! You are welcomed to pick out a time that fits in your schedule! Here is the information to judge:

Events Offered:
Team Policy Debate (Limited to 10 teams)
Lincoln Douglas Debate (Limited to 10 students)
Apologetics - categories used 1,2,3 (Limited to 6 students)
Cold Reading (Limited to 6 students)
Demonstration - We will have a table in the room if needed. (Limited to 6 students)
Expository (Limited to 6 students)
Extemporaneous - topics include national, international and economics (Limited to 6 students)
Mars Hill - topics used classic movies, classis song lyrics, classic books (Limited to 6 students)
Open Interpretation (Limited to 6 students)
Original Oratory (Limited to 6 students)
Persuasive (Limited to 6 students)

Thank you for your interest in judging at our Speech & Debate Tournament. We rely on community support to help our tournament run smoothly.

Please arrive 45 minutes prior to your assigned judging time for orientation. If you arrive early, stop by Judge Hospitality where we serve a variety of snacks to meet the needs of our judges.
You will be given a good overview of the events and the judging process at the tournament during Judge Orientation. However, if you would like some information about the events offered before that time, please look at the Speech Events Page and the Debate Page .
Last, you are qualified to judge! The goal of our competitors is to be able to communicate their ideas clearly and respectfully to anyone. If you are good listener who is over 18 and not actively competing in high school speech or debate, WE NEED YOU!
