Imagine being the first soldier to stand in the door of an airplane and jump, creating what we know as paratroopers today. Beginning in 1940, journey through time to learn how the Airborne and Special Operations arms of the U.S. military originated and have changed. In the lobby, view two fully deployed parachutes to understand the size and scope of this part of the service. Enjoy an instructional video and participate in the optional simulator experience “Experience the Legend.”**
Participants may arrive between 10:30 and 11 a.m. on February 27. Admission to the museum is FREE for children; $1 for parents. Admission to the simulator experience is $6/ticket.
Registration deadline is midnight February 25, 2018. Registrations are transferable but non-refundable.
** Experience the Legend: This simulator ride physically moves on a pitch of up to 18 degrees, taking the rider on a tour from World War II to the modern day. Scenes in the movie include flying into Normandy on D-Day, traveling with the Rangers in Kabul, and quietly moving through Iraq with a Special Forces team. Ride lasts approximately 5 minutes and will be available to our group from 11:30 until 1 pm.
